Very good article.
basically our KFC and other "Processed" foods like KFC that are laced or as the term in the industry calls it "Pumped" meats like KFC chicken have had added sugar, seaonings and denatured fats & protiens from other animals sources including beef, pork and lamb.... in chicken.
The chickens have been reared on a high calorie diet that casues them to grow huge in a short time and this chicken is full of saturated fats.
Add the "Ross203" as I believe the type of chicken is called in to the main stream diet of millions of peoples diets... Before long you will start to see a rise in obesity and all the other disorders associated with high fat, high sugar diets.
So who is driving this market?
The consumer gets blamed for the whole deal when it is not as clearly cut as to blame the consumer, you have to distribute the blame evenly. Instead the blame gets thrown at the farmer which is hardly fair given the very people who buy his product "Demand" the product to "Fit" its specification. SO its the supermarkets then... but they blame the consumer for bad diet...
Perhaps if the doctors looking at the chocolate tax issue would pull their tiny head out of their ring pieces then they may actually "Defogg" their heads enough to see the wood for the trees and get a better understanding of the bigger picture.
It reminds me of a school yard squabble, no one wants to man up and accept the blame for the situation and this is what I can't not understand about supermarkets, we need them regardless, so why are they worried about "Corporate Image" ?
