I think uniforms are important in schools so long as they are readily available and not monopolised by one (expensive) shop. Children need to concentrate on other things at school not a fashion show.

The boys don't have to wear one, at least then families will save some money. Schoolboys

I agree but it's totally unnecessary for sixth formers.

I'm sure no sixth former would be seen dead in a school uniform. At that age they want to wear real clothes.
