Title: What’s happening in the evenings?
Post by: oldspice on November 16, 2005, 06:56:22 am

What's been on TV in the evenings these last few weeks? I only ask because I notice that a lot of regular posters have been giving the Forum a miss. I can only post early mornings or late evenings except at weekends and I have missed chatting and exchanging posts with a few old friends.

And do i detect a bit of friction between some of the regulars and a new poster? is that why people are staying away?

Where is Paulham buy the way?

What's wrong with me! Well, it is early!

I mean by the way!

Monday and Tuesday night was 'Walk away and I stumble' which was very good. Aiden Gillan is gorgeous

But apart from that....I am not sure, I don't really watch a lot of telly.

There may be a little friction being generated. As you have mentioned Oldspice - i believe that a few newer members are in fact some 30 years younger than they claim to be

And my computer at home requires me to download javascript before I can
post on the forum. I will do so when I figure out what it is and how I
do it!

Ouch!

Have just read this thread and hope I'm not the new poster causing friction. Have been off work with dreadful virus and too much time on my hands when I dicovered this site.... have been playing WA furiously and thoroghly enjoying it.... Hope I haven't been crashing in?

Haven't entred in to too much chat cause not quick enough to jump from screen to screen and I'm a bit of a techno spud!  (and also little shy as you all seem to know each other so well)

If I have been crashing in and causing fiction I'm v sorry.  Back to work tomorrow anyway, so less time on hands

I'm often at the gym from about 8.30 to 10.30, so sometimes I look in when I get back. I like to go on chat, but lately... well, have you ever been watching your favourite soap and suddenly realised it's all about one family or set of characters all of a sudden?

Bit sad I know, but I go through phases of actually following the story lines in Hollyoaks... especially on the Sunday omnibus. Is therapy available?

I didn't mean you were the new poster strolling minstrel (love the name!). I think most people know who I mean.

I've obviously just called in at the wrong times! I couldn't watch Walk away and I stumble because the trailers made it sound too heart-breaking. However, I guessed a lot of people would be watching it.

Hi Spicy... It's O.K.... I've looked deeper into threads and am clearer now!

Loved Taagget, but was best with the original guy.. dry, dour, wit.

It was very heart-breaking oldspice. I cried at the end but I am a big softy like that. Very good programme, well done ITV1

I agree, I tried to watch it, dispite countless phone calls. The bits I could follow were sensitive and moving. Unlike some of the ITV dramas it didn't shy away and have an unrelaist happy ending.

As for big softy... me too. I cried during Nannny McFee the other day the cinema! You try convincing a 10 year old that you've just got some popcorn in your eye!  He was having none of it!

I have been away in Derby for 2 days (a work thing) and next week I have got a week off so I won't be around as I only have net access at work!

As for TV I haven't been watching much . I just joined Amazon's DVD rental service (if anyone wants me to recommend a friend' I can and it will give them a month - that's 3 rentals - free) so I have been mainly watching DVDs.

See you all around after 28th Nov!

Children in need was a load of rubbish this year

I hate anything like Children In Need. I give my cash willingly but all that dressing up etc makes me feel embarrased. We were expected to dress up as fairies at work on Friday. I said NO WAY!! Leave it to the STUDENTS! Instead of paying £1 to dress up, I coughed up £5 NOt to dress up!

The thing that annoys me is Terry wogan is probaby paid a wage for presenting. Sharon and Kelly Osborne getting on stage and donating £10,000 each does not impress me because if it was such a honest donation why could they not just send a cheque in and do without the publicity.

Celebrity jungle is on tonight and again it's full of D list has beens wanting to revive their careers. Jenny Frost is being paid £100,000 to go into a pretend Australian jungle. I bet she will be more then happy to be first voted off.

i think elaine has made a big mistake going in, i dont think she is strong enough after all she has been through in recent years, putting herself under the media spotlight like this could be too much for her
