You will need:

2 tablespoons honey, 1/4 cup of peanut butter, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 3 squares(3 ounces) semi sweet chocolate, 1 cup condensed milk, 1 1/2 cups of shredded coconut.

Mix honey with peanut butter and salt and let them sit in a bowl. Melt chocolate with condensed milk. Pour the chocolate into the peanut butter and honey. Add the coconut. Place in heaped teaspoonfuls an inch apart on a buttered baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 mins (Sorry but it don't say what temperature to put the oven on). Remove from baking sheet with a spatula while warm and cool on a wire rack.

This recipe came from The Pooh cook Book published in 1974.

It's a really good book. Every good cook should have it.

Sounds like a nice recipe Lou.  I will cook them at a variety of temperatures and see what ones come out best.

Now I'm annoyed as I've searched my recipe books (not an area I venture into very often!) and can't find that book and I KNOW I've got it somewhere (it's only small isn't it Lou?)  I also have a Kellogg's recipe book that features cereals that even I don't remember!  Puffa Puffa Rice anyone?

Goldencup mine is a small paperback. The cover is yellow. I just noticed the price in the corner. £1.25. What a bargain that was.

That's a shame. I bet someone borrowed it and didn't return it.

More than likely.  I'm always lending people books and CDs and forgetting about them.
