Bye bye Pauline
« on: July 11, 2006, 06:44:59 pm »

Wendy Richard has announced she will leave Eastenders at Christmas after nearly 22 years. The show's producers have promised a 'dramatic exit', suggesting she could be killed off.

Will Eastenders ever be the same again? Will you miss Pauline's miserable mug? Or is the show better off without her? Personally I think she used to be a great character, but with Michelle and Mark gone she seemed a bit lost, and they dragged out the 'when my Arfur was alive' business for far too long.

Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

I haven't watched EastEnders much during the last couple of months and when I did recently, I hardly knew any of the characters!  It seems to have changed a lot so I don't expect she'll be missed that much.

I don't watch it that often and I think they have turned her into a sour old puss like her mother.
