Yes, my mother always said if I picked them I would wet the bed. The myth is so wide spread there must be an element of truth in it. perhaps they are good diretics? (I'm sorry, I don't think I can spell that one!)


What about the story that if buttercups reflect off your chin you like butter?

Sorry to say one of my cats loves butterflies (and moths, she can't
tell the difference), very common sight to find a few remains from her
murderous activity strewn about the bath

Bounty that puffin picture is wonderful!  I'm really jealous as I've always had a thing about puffins and despite going to Lundy Island and Flanborough Head I've only ever seen them as distant specks in the sea.
