Peeking at your Christmas gifts?
« on: December 14, 2006, 10:59:51 pm »

The survey of 2,287 U.S. adults by research firm Harris
Interactive found the main culprits tend to be women, with 21
percent unable to resist the temptation for a sneaky peep
compared to 15 percent of men.

The younger 18 to 34 crowd also have less self-control than
the 35-plus crowd, with 32 percent taking a sneaky look
compared to 12 percent, according to the survey that was
conducted on behalf of Yahoo! Shopping.

Gift wrapping expert Christine Fritsch, author of the book
"Gifted Wrapping", suggested hiding present for children up
high and trying to disguise adult's presents.

Oh lorri.

That's wicked.

Is he an older brother or younger?

My brother is older and the amount of awful things I did to him as a kid, I just can't confess to!  Honestly if I'd known he would prove to have such a long and reliable memory for such things I would have been nicer to him!

I peaked once as a child and regretted it - I prefer the surprise.
Who needs karma when you know you're great already?

If you have read the, 'what is Santa bringing you?' thread, then you might think I would find it quite hard not to peek at my presents.

Me too. I'm not good at faking surprise.

Darth Vader knew what Luke Skywalker was getting for Christmas because he 'felt his presence'.

I thought your memory was supposed to begin to go when you got older. But for some things his memory is so clear and inconvenient.

I mean he forgets where he puts his glasses and his house keys and puts shoe polish in the bread bin but he can remember me eating his sweets instead of my own when I was 8!!!!

Some things are so unfair.

My brother and I have not spent a Christmas card together since 1968. Although we try to speak on the phone, he has never sent me a Christmas card. He's just not the type.
Old but spicey!

I always give my family an Xmas card but I think it's better to give Xmas cards to friends and give presents to family.
