General / Welcome to Nottingham but don't open my link
« on: May 17, 2009, 12:10:39 pm »
Just recently I was havin issue with some new neighbour filling my bin up, I dealt with him on that issue and thought it to be sorted until the otherday.

Finding my bin filled up, I emptied it in the binstalls opposite the original perp but the "New" perp decided on going off on one 'Hear' for yourself. When I played this to my sister yesterday on a day visit, she was utterly shocked by the attitude. So I though I would share this with yourselves to guage your response.

Audio: MP3 -> The link causes my virus software to warn me that my pc is being attackedA nice audio clip to give you an idea on how pathetic these black guys are on wanting to beat up or run someone out of their home becasue they did something that they shouldn't have in the first place.

I have many more examples of this type of attitude.

WTF did I do in the first place? I certainly didn't start it..

General / Monkey Syndrome
« on: May 07, 2009, 01:34:20 pm »
Ever wondered about someplaces where you work and how or why certain things are never done?
Monkey Syndrome
Start with a cage containing five monkeys. Inside the cage, hang a
banana on a string and place a set of stairs under it. Before
long, a monkey will go to the stairs and start to climb towards
the banana. As soon as he touches the stairs, spray all of the
other monkeys with cold water. After a while, another monkey makes
an attempt with the same result, all the other monkeys are sprayed
with cold water. Pretty soon, when another monkey tries to climb
the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it.

Now, put away the cold water. Remove one monkey from the cage and
replace it with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and
wants to climb the stairs. To his surprise and horror, all of the
other monkeys attack him. After another attempt and attack, he
knows that if he tries to climb the stairs, he will be assaulted.

Next, remove another of the original five monkeys and replace it
with a new one. The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked.
The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment with
enthusiasm! Likewise, replace a third original monkey with a new
one, then a fourth, then the fifth.

Every time the newest monkey takes to the stairs, he is attacked.
Most of the monkeys that are beating him have no idea why they
were not permitted to climb the stairs or why they are
participating in the beating of the newest monkey.

After replacing all the original monkeys, none of the remaining
monkeys have ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, no
monkey ever again approaches the stairs to try for the banana.
Why not? Because as far as they know that's the way it's always
been done around here.

As far as my Psycology lecturer said, this started off as a thought experiment based on observed behaviour in the human population, then put in to practice on our nearest relative and the theory was upheld by the experiment results.

So in the office or workplace, when your subjected to such objections, pass a copy of Jeff's site to your fellow workmates and wake them up to the fact and what they are doing and maybe you can then get people to "Question things" more rather than just accepting that "Thats the way its always been done here..." or beating on people for no good reason.

General / Tables turned on "Google Street View Driver"

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechnology/technology/google/5131854/Google-Street-View-cameraman-in-row-with-photographer.html

I agree with people in this article that the concerns are genuine and google shouldn't be doing this and the way they just dismiss this issue of peoples privacy annoys the hell out of me.

I have no problem with cameras run by the police and authorities... when it comes to a private company like google, theyre beginning to get a bit too big for their boots.

Google needs its wings clipped.

If you watched "The Kingdom" then you will like "Body of Lies". If you haven't seen "The Kingdom" then watch it, its a must.

Body of Lies - tis not a bad movie at all, a biit mental in places but thats just the nature of the middle east.

Starts off in Manchester with a big boom and ends in Jordan.

No excuses the guy, a DRIVER!!! is a complete moron.

The highway code exists for a reason, the guidelines on the use of sat nav are that you ignore IT and OBEY the highway code.

Yes, throw the book at the prat for the charge of driving without due care and attention.... Bloody idiot need his head searching.

I was a courier for 15 years for FedEx and TNT as well as HDS and I never needed a satnav to deliver on the routes I delivered on, I relied on memory and limited number of A~Z red books's and OS Maps when I needed them.

This is the other reason why I will never have one of these things, if any car I have has one I turn it off, it is just not needed.

General / Real "Street Art"
« on: March 21, 2009, 11:42:51 am »
I called this thread Real 'Street Art' because thats what it is, for some reason, this council considers the efforts of some of the tallent less here as Art.

Problem is that some councils can not recognise grafiti like http://img3.travelblog.org/Photos/24105/162057/f/1210880-Christiania-Graffiti-0.jpg and http://www.createdinbirmingham.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/hoakser_graffiti.jpg and http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/artblog/2007/sep/24/whatshouldwedoaboutgraffiti

What "IS" art is what follows.

General / Xocai Health Chocolate MLM scam
« on: March 19, 2009, 10:32:15 pm »
If you dig and scratch away, you will soon get to the truth.

They want $40 to enrol you in to the company as a distributoe and if your in the UK, your luck, you can order ONE, yes, that ONE case of these chocolates nuggets for $110 a box of 100

$150 for ONE box of chocolates!

What is it? Well it appears to be chocolate and some berry that is high in antioxidants and other elements that they use to sell their "Health" chocolate.

Fact that they want money upfront before they process your application is a sure clear sign that something smelly in the kipper department is going on.

Lets face it, if the founder of this product has made $300 million in retail, WTF is he / she / they doing selling in a pyramid scheme for? This I might add is a product that I have never seen on any of the UK supermarket shelves, have you?

If you read the articles and many sites that link in to this endorsed product, the one doctor is a doctor of law, another reads like a quack forn the middle 1800's selling a tonic, fact all he needs is a hoses, hat and waggon and he fits the bill.

This is one product to watch for, expecially because the cost, who in their right mind would pay for a chocolate that is a few gramms when you can buy "Regular" chocolate that is just as good and none of the guff and your getting 10 times as much.

Heads up people...

I was passed this link : http://www.gethuman.com/

I thought that people here may find it useful, British Telecom is listed, aprently its a list of companys that have automated "Robot" systems in place, these offer the "Key" sequence to quickly get through the 5 minutes of bull in the call queuing system.

Theirs lots of UK companys in it like the banks, BT and credit card companys.

Hack the planet!

General / 084* Telephone numbers
« on: March 16, 2009, 11:51:24 am »
http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/Healthtelephone/

Dead Line 31st March 09.

Simply put, the NHS belly aches about costs but what people do not realize is many NHS phone numbers are "Revenue" earners, which is why everyone is palmed off with a "New" telephone number that should be a FREE phone number seeing as "You" have already contributed to the NHS in the form of taxes and National Insurance contributions and other stealth taxes brought in by previous governments (my dig at the tories, grrr).

So if you care about being ripped off... Please sign.

Cheers.

General / Our friend Google
« on: March 12, 2009, 11:01:48 pm »
Anyone seen the hype about google's service called "Latitude" at all in the news?

My advice, not wanting to give the criminal element any ideas, avoid it like the plague, it is or has serious implications for your personal safety, especially lone women returning home after a night on the lash.

Employers are told that they can use this to track staff, well sorry to say that what i have been advised is that they can not and legal issues on privacy that employers must observe are flouted by this.

I really have serious concerns about this service and several of my friends also have expressed concern over it.
