It's sort of an acquired taste.

Picked these two beauties up at an Asian supermarket, yesterday. I must admit I prefer the green tea variety. The peach one tastes a little waxy.
I also adore how the little squares are individually wrapped. Makes portion control so much easier. :)

Foreign Products / Parfait and Mild Bitter Kit Kats

I was so close to having a maple syrup KitKat. My best friend bought me one at an anime convention last month...but her sister found it. Life is so cruel.
Anyway.
Ha, knowing how the Japanese like their unusual flavours, it's entirely possible that you may see some seafood varieties in the near future.
I WOULDN'T be totally opposed to seeing a sweet potato or taro KitKat, however. Though with the sweet potato, I think I'd replace the chocolate coating with some sort of orange sweet potato-flavoured junk, like the green tea KitKat, which had no chocolate coating. I remember having taro chips way back when, and I don't really remember what they tasted like, but bubble teas come in taro flavour, so why not do taro KitKat?
Hm...OOO! Why not a sweet potato pie KitKat? You could shove some sort of marshmallow-esque goo between the wafers, and cover the thing in that orange, creamy sweet potato-flavoured stuff, and mix it with some cinnamon or...maybe not...

Another new Canadian Kit kat bar for 2006 is Kit Kat Xtra Chocolate. This one's the standard 4-finger version with chocolate wafers, and added cocoa liquor in the cream layers.

That's right folks, another new Kit Kat variant. Saw Cinnimon Kit Kat in Toronto today. Didn't try it, though. Hopefully I'll buy one soon, and let you know what it's like.

Several years ago, Trident released a capuccino-flavoured gum. It was quite good, though it didn't last long.

Old Products / The Enigma That Is The Yorkie

I haven't had a Yorkie in ages, but I don't think there's anything wrong with them. They're quite satisfying if you're in the mood for a big chunk of regular chocolate, sans caramel or peanuts or anything fancy.

4 finger dark Kit Kats have been around here for quite a while, I'd say about 2 years. Never had the opportnity to try one, though.

Hey, thanks for all these updates, Lemonzinger. This one's a limited edition, according to their site. Anyway, once you taste it, be sure to let us know what it's like. Enjoy!

Actually, I tried it this afternoon. My curiosity got the better of me. It was lovely, though I thought the filling would be more liquid. I recall there was a bar released a few years ago by Cadbury called "Yogourt", which came in strawberry and peach varieties. The filling was exactly like that, though vanilla-flavoured.

New Products / Hm...

It appears that Nestle has changed the chocolate on the Coffee Crisp bar, or at least the French Vanilla one. I was eating one today, and noticed that in addition to a new wrapper, the chocolate is now very dark, almost black. I dunno if this was a fluke, but it sure tasted lovely!
