Title: 21..............
Post by: loulou on June 26, 2005, 12:48:25 pm
Choc chick being 21 today got me thinking of my 21st. I had to work all day and on the night time I had a big party in town. I had a lovely short silk dress that I kept all these years and I take it out occasionally to remind me how small I was. The dress was a size 8 and had been altered because it was to big. Memories. I've got bigger knickers than that dress now.lol Anyone else have good memories of their 21st's ?

I was a headbanger in those days.  Had hair half way down my back with a leather jacket and a denim cutoff with patches on the back.

Can't remember the daytime but at night went to a rock club and had my request played - Ace of Spades by Motorhead.  Still a classic track.

Sounds remarkably similar to my 21st Bounty!  I was a headbanger too.  Leather jeans (size 8!), leather jacket with studs on, massive studded wrist straps (my son wears them now) and fairly big (for a female) motorbike.  I had a big party in a club which had 'Rock Night' every Wednesday but can't remember if I had any special requests. If I did they would probably have been for AC/DC.  And to think I ended up working in a library!

My 21st was miserable. Don't want to remember it. Luckily, not long after, I started going out with the guy who later became my husband and we have been together 25 years!

I am younger than a lot on here.

It is just my mature attitude that confuses you.

Thanks everyone. I had a fantastic time. I wore a ra ra type denim mini
skirt and a gorgeous cream top with butterflies on (size 10).

My best present by far was from my fiance and it was....2 tickets to
mid town Manhattan, New York in September. I also got a Tiffany
Necklace, various other jewellery, perfumes, money and me to you bear
ornaments.

A weekend to remember.

I was looking at some pics of my 21st the other day. I've barely changed, which I suppose is good - although I was surprised to see how big I looked (not really fat, just quite a bit bigger than I am now). What was nice is that out of five people in the main pic with me, four are still close friends five years on. The other is my ex so in a way all the 'friends' are still friends!
