What were you doing standing there beside him?

I haven't tried it but acupuncture is the only alternative medicine that has been scientificaly proven to work and has been endorsed by the NHS.

Is that serious enough?

The reason for me asking is when we went to the metrocentre yesterday my mam went to buy some herbal tea and ended up having acupuncture. She had 6 needles in her head, 2 in each arm(elbows and wrists) and 4 in each leg (ankles, just above knee, below knee and calf area). My mam closed her eyes as she was frightened but she didn't feel any of the needles go in. After 20 minutes the dr removed them and she didn't feel that. She said it was very relaxing and booked a course of 15 sessions.I am thinking of having it done myself as I have a bad shoulder and have spent around £400 on physio and was just interested to know if anyone has had it done and knows if it is safe and works.

I also have a bad shoulder (although considerably better than it was a year ago) and I have been recommended acupuncture by someone who has had the same problem.  You go first Loulou and let me know if it works!

Ok I will. I can't face the physiotherapist and her exercises anymore.I'll have the acupuncture and let you know what it's like.

I have a rather nice young male physiotherapist!  He practically jumps on top of me to get my shoulder moving and I have to say that despite the pain it's rather enjoyable

My physiotherapist is about 35 and Swedish. all the men would find that heaven but she can inflict pain like a man.

When are you going to tell him your shoulder actually got better five years ago?
