Title: Wonka bars
Post by: kevvosa on June 22, 2005, 02:12:02 pm
My friend bought me one of the new Wonka bars today, the fudge one. It
was vrey nice, a bit melted cos of the heat but nice. It's got some
sort of soft chocolate centre with fudge bits in it.

7/10.

Sounds nice. I will try and get to Woolworths on Friday.

I work in London and Woolworths are hard to find in the city!

Really? Actually last time I was there I didn't see any at all. No doubt Cybercandy will have them though.

I know what you mean Choc Chick, when I am in London there are shops I hardly ever see and yet are common on most of the 'cloned' UK high streets. The only Woolies I know in London is in the shopping centre at the Elephant & Castle; it's quite out of the way.

I found one of the bars in a Sainsburys while I was in London last week. Think I was just lucky though.

I work close by to Oxford Street and there is not one Woolworths. Its
quite frustrating as I can then only get to one at the weekends and
sometimes the urge has passed

Which part are you in Cherry Ripe? I think the Tottenham Court Road end
of Oxford Street could do with a vast improvement, some of the shops
are a waste of space.

I bought one of these today in Sainsbury's.  Quite nice but nothing special.  I still have some left, so it can't have been that great!

You should be able to do a search by postcode on Yell Choccy Chick - there are 53 branches in London apparently.

The thing is with editing postings is that it disrupts the flow of a topic, you can't have someone reply to correct you on something in your post because you can just go back and change it later which then makes their reply look odd.

I can edit, but I only usually use it to correct my own bad spelling, course I can also delete postings

Believe me, it's not worth £1.89.  Much cheaper in Sainsbury's (but still not very special).

Oh Britishcandy...how come you have a "Wonka Aero" in the hamper,
that's a cheat! There is no such thing as a "Wonka Aero" - it's just a
normal Aero with the wonka promotion on the wrapper - which is also on
other Nestlé products like fruity smarties, smarties big flavas, Kitkat
chunky and so on. And you dont have them in your hamper now do
you.

There is going to be quite a few new Wonka sweeties out around Christmas time which will include a Smarties cane similar to the one Willy Wonka has in the new film.

Theres a few other Wonka products comming out later in the year but I cant remember anymore of them at the moment

It's about time I paid a visit to British Candy again.  Incidentally British Candy has great Brand appeal, are you pushing yourself enough Candyman?

Post by: kevvosa on July 19, 2005, 12:53:38 pm
Oh yes we know about the canes. Sadly Fruity Smarties aren't very popular around here.

Here's one for you to find out about. We all know the three varieties
of Wonka bar - Fudgemallow, Nutty Crunch, Dazzle Caramel. So how come play.com
are starting to sell pillows with the same branding (ignoring how
bizarre this is to begin with), but with an additional flavour: Chilly Chocolate Crème. Anyone got any ideas on what that is?

Just spoken to Nestle press office. No plans to launch chilly chocolate creme as a product  (and it sounded so good).

I like the fruity wobble drops as well.

I think these bars were more as adverts for the film as they are
featured in the film. But I have now heard that after the bars being so
popular, they are going to continue the range!
