Title: Nesquik
Post by: goldencup on June 15, 2005, 10:07:35 am

I noticed something about Nesquik on Snackspot and started browsing the product. The only flavours ever mentioned, even in the history bit, were chocolate, strawberry and banana.  Now come on the wrinklies among us, please tell me I'm not dreaming  - when I was at junior school you could get Nesquik in Raspberry, Orange, Mint Chocolate (my favourite), Blackcurrant, Pineapple, and probably many more flavours. We all used to take it to school to try and make the disgusting bottles of warmish milk we were forced to drink more palatable!

I remember Raspberry - that disappeared when I was about five or six, so around 1985. I also remember Mint Choc and Toffee Choc coming out about five years after that, but I don't remember any other fruity flavours.

I remember for definate a chocolate toffee flavour. Think its might
just have been called 'Chocolate Toffee'. Didn't have a fancy name. I
loved this when it was out, had a really nice flavour to it.

Raspberry rings a bell but I can't remember for definate.

I think I need Oldspice or maggiemay for this one, or maybe Loulou.  I'm talking about the 70's!

The chocolate toffee one would have been mid 90's.

Do you know Goldencup, I was starting to think I dreamed all these flavours too! Yes, I do remember blackcurrant, pineapple, orange and raspberry Nesquik and the Mint Choc one was my favourite too! The Toffee Choc one came out a few years ago but these earlier flavours were out in the 70s.

I would love to see them back. Do you rmember the song

"mix a glass of Nesquik, Nesquik's fun!!"

I do remember some of these Nesquik flavours - the raspberry, mint chocolate and balckcurrant ones. I remember there being lots of Angel Delight flavours as well. And Instant whip.

I bet there were loads of artificial additives in them though.

I love Crusha milkshake mix. especially raspberry. It's much nicer than Nesquik. It has been around for a very long time.

Thanks Oldspice and maggiemay - I was really beginning to doubt myself on this one!  I'm sorry I missed the Chocolate Toffee flavour more recently though.

Maggie I expect you're right about Angel Delight and Instant Whip but I wasn't a fan of either I'm afraid.

I think he means that Nesquik is made by Nestle - not one of my favourite companies!

Do they explode when they get to the other side of the road?
