Title: Cadbury
Post by: on October 12, 2004, 01:36:01 pm

Did you know they celebrate their centenary next year?

I wonder what products they have in store?

How about a Ltd Edn of some of their old, but not completely forgotten bars? I know they won't want to bring some back permanently, but the could coin in on the nostalgia.

What bars [Cadbury] would you like to see back on sale again?

Double Decker   with raisins.

In fact why don't we ask Cadbury to send Chocolate Review the new products? We would be the most diverse focus group out there!

That is an excellent idea there paulham.

Was Amazing Raisin Cadbury? And Fry's Five Centre?

But talking of Cadbury. Has anyone been to the Cadbury shop on line? They have fruit bars on there.

We should ask Chocadmin if we could suggest such ideas under the site's name.

Its says in the IRN website that there is going to be promotions throughout the whole brand. Does that mean new bars or just new wrappers saying 100 years...

Lets hope they bring out Banoffee or something. And maybe the bars they do in Australia. Yum yum...

That would be fantastic, but I doubt they would do that either...

I hope they do bring out something new though and not just repackage the standard bars with 'Celebrating 100 Years...'

"Just heard it is Cadbury's 100 th birthday next year. Congratulations.
As a memebr of the http://www.chocolatereview.co.uk   forum we discussed ways of Cadbury celebrating the centenary. I have no doubt you have some fantastic ideas in store, but I thought I would throw a suggestion into the ring, which you may already have thought of.
What about making some ltd editions of bars that Cadbury once made? One a month would be nice. :)
Fry's Five Centre?
Amazin Raisin bar?
Cabana?
Aztec?
Prize?
To name but a few.
Remember us 30-somethings just LOVE nostalgia!"

I won't hold my breath, but c'mon Cadbury, you can do it!

Said Brutus to Ceasar.

"what ails you?

 what worries

 what troubles

 what pales you?"

Poor Caeser he replies:

 "Ah Brutus,

 the pies,

instead of just one,

I ate two."

If you look at the 'where can I buy...' section on the Cadbury website, Fry's Five Centre is the first bar mentioned, even though it was discontinued 12 years ago.  This suggests they get a lot of enquiries about it. We should seriously lobby them to re-release it for their centenary!
