I have been reading a scary article that says that 70% of the world's chocolate is to be genetically modified..
The article says that a collaboration involving Mars, USDA and IBM intends to flood 70% of the global cocoa supply with genetically modified (GMO) cocoa tree hybrids. This means that affordable chocolate will be GMO and the non-GMO stuff will probably be hideously expensive.
Anyone besides me object to this idea?

I object to it 100%. The problem with GMOing everything is that you have no idea where it's going to spread to via insects, seeds, etc.
I already support small chocolate growers / manufacturers, so I can't see myself having too much of a problem. Still, a lot of people out there won't even care about what goes into their sugar fix.
