Title: A chocolate lovers event HELP!
Post by: ladycassandra on April 01, 2005, 01:55:07 pm

I am quite new on here - but i have been watching you all from afar for ages!!  Now i've registered i can't stay away though!

Anyway i am organising a 'Chocolate Ball' at Newark, Notts to raise money for the Meningitis Trust. So far i have a chocolate fountian, a chocolate tasting, chocolate favours and some choccy auction items. Has anybody got any fab ideas for brilliant auction items or events for the night to raise extra £££££££s. The website for the event is http://www.thegrandball.moonfruit.com. You all seem to be very creative - any ideas are most welcome!

How about a 'rare chocolate' hamper? Get stuff off Cybercandy, Sweets from Heaven etc. that you can't buy in the UK and wrap it up Christmas hamper style. The perfect thing for choc lovers to bid on!

Also have you approached Cadbury etc. about sponsorship/donations? Apologies if there is already info on this on your website; the link wouldn't work on my machine.

Cadbury will only support events that are run by their staff/families or in their local area.

Most large companies have 'nominated charities' too.

Sorry about the link - i upgraded and now only those with the latest software can get into it. I can't do anything about it.

Like the hamper idea though.
