Title: chinese hackers goody

Sorry about the forum being offline. Some hackers (or possibly a bot) found a loophole somewhere (not sure where at the mo') and put some extra pages in which stopped the forum working.
(typically had to happen when i'm very busy at work :( )

Whilst I try and check things r ok every day if you see anything weird just contact me on e-mail or the twitters :)
I recently scanned a whole load more chocolate so there'll be more things to vote on shortly.
Isn't it weird that lots of people use FB for forum type discussion now, even though they (now) don't provide a proper forum solution.

Thanks for all the work you do for the forum Chocadmin. It must be very time consuming to keep updating and watching out for spam - especially when you are so busy at work. So, thanks again. I for one would be lost without this little bit of escapism.

I am on facebook now, but mainly to get news and piccies of my nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and now, incredible I know, my great, great nephew!  I am also quite politically active so get lots of news and feeds via facebook friends who are also active. I don't go do much social chit chatting on fb and I don't post my piccie because i don't want to be identified by my students!

i use facebook in pretty much the same way. i know far too many people who just sit on it all day waiting for updates and refreshing the page every 10 seconds.

I love Facebook I must say - I find it a good way to keep in touch with all my family
