Title: Where is lou?

Haven't seen a post from Lou in months. Is she OK?

she sort of just fizzled out over a few months, rather than just left all of a sudden. so i'm guessing that nothing bad has happened. are you reading, loulou? can you confirm?

She still appears on Facebook fairly regularly so I think she's okay.

I am here.  Right i'll explain where i've been . My best friend went into leeds hospital at beginning of the year to have a small lump removed from her stomach . The surgeon accidentally cut her stomach and the contents of her stomach went into her bowel causing septicaemia and my friend went into a coma for a week. When she came round she had 4 further operations but ended up being sent home after 2 months with 3 big holes in her stomach and having to wear bags to catch the contents of her bowel and stomach. Forgot but at this point she's had her bowel removed and a new one made from pigskin. So she's at home for a few months in a right mess with lots of pain then gets the chance to go meet with a professor in newcastle who says her only hope is to have her stomach removed  as now there are over 100 cancerous lumps. So 2 weeks ago she had a ten hour op to remove her stomach and is still at the stage of not being able to eat or drink and yesterday had another blood transfusion but prof is 99% certain he got all the cancer out.
Since february i have been with her every other day but now i am away from leeds and back at home i will get back into a  proper routine and you will see me here again. :)

Oh Lou, how awful for your friend - and what a good friend you are. i hope things improve for her very soon. I hope you are Ok too. It can be very difficult for close friends and family at such times and it's tiring too.

omg, that sounds awful. i hope your friend is now on the mend and has a full, speedy recovery.

That's awful Lou. It sounds like you've been a massive support to your friend - she's lucky to have you at such a tough time.

I'm still visiting every other day but thankfully she is in newcastle so i am only 30 minutes away.  I've not just been physically drained but more emotionally ( and financially ) and i've cried way too much and been angry and ratty with everyone so you would all have seen a different Lou that you wouldn't like.  Facebook has kept me company on my mobile but could i hell get on here with my iphone. I'm pleased you are all still here.  Now getting back to my new years resolution of getting a new kitchen , a foot tattoo and a trip to new york...well i've done none of that.lol .

There's still almost of a third of the year to go Lou, you can still achieve some of that.  The tattoo anyway! x
