Title: tattoos
Post by: loulou on February 28, 2011, 11:03:29 pm
So on my "to do in 2011 " list is have a foot tattoo. Now what i need to know is should i expect a lot of pain and will i cry?
Its going on my left foot along the outer side towards my little toe.
Ive been told i can have some numbing cream to apply 2 hours beforehand but i was thinking more along the lines of a local anaesthetic. No i'm sure i can take the pain but all you people with tattoos ( i reckon theres three of you) please share your experiences and is it really like being cut with broken glass?

you are getting 200 needles into your body a min.    It better to put the tattoo on the body where it has some fat on it.

just get one of those peel-off water tattoos they used to give away with bubble gum. they're relatively painless.

I've been considering one too Lou.  My son's girlfriend got one done on her foot recently (a cupcake!).  I'll ask her how bad it was.  She's a bit of a wuss so it can't have been too bad.

My mate had one of his touched up on Saturday and was still in pain hours later. His arm felt like it was on fire too.

If you choose an area close to the bone, it's gonna hurt. My wife has seven tattoos on her body. The biggest one, on the base of her back, took three hours to do and she did it in one go. I've never met anyone else with that kind of pain threshold.

I haven't got any tattoos, but...

Never have a tattoo on your bum
You must never have a tattoo on your bum
For a tattoo on your bum
Will infuriate your mum
You must never have a tattoo on your bum

From my poem 'How to Grow Up Nicely' more to follow if you wish..

Oh yes, please go on!  Although my mission in life is now to grow (even) more eccentric and embarrass my children as much as possible, so a tattoo is still tempting.
