I am not a particular fan of the royals - but I do wish this young couple all the happiness any young couple starting out deserves. They will face special challenges and will not have the freedom other young couples enjoy - so good luck to you Willie and Kate. God bless you.

I agree. And maybe there'll be a Bank Holiday?
-
(think i'll go polish my sniper-rifle...)

I'm actually quite excited at the prospect of a big Royal wedding. I know there's been a lot of fuss about how long it's taken and that she's not a Lady or similar, but isn't it better that William took the time to get to know and fall in love with someone, rather than being pressured into a loveless marriage just because the bride's a virgin with the right lineage?
-
Well, I'm quite anti-Royal and despise these oh, so lavish occasions when there are people around the world who can't feed themselves everyday. I feel the same about U2 concerts...
-
quick - somebody tell me what purpose the royal family serve in 2010?
-
Target practice!
-
There talk it will take place on 29 July WINK WINK!¬!¬¬¬

Well it just goes to show what problems can arise if you're waiting for a virgin. I mean - when Charles was searching - there were only two left - Diana or Anne Widdecombe!
-
Look at the comparisons as to when Charlie & Di tied the knot
1) Tory government
2) Mass unemployment
3) Recession
Funny that...
-
Yes - that was mentioned at my political discussion group last night!

Here's a sweet little song for Willie and Kate:

We won't get a bank holiday. The Cleggameron simply won't let it happen.

The Scottish got their independence, so now they can live with it!

Its up to Scottish parliament to add in this holiday for the Scottish region ;), ( Sir Alex had to pass the extra Jubilee one for 2012) and no one in the Scottish office has said anything
-
Give them a bloody chance. We haven't got a date for the wedding yet!
-
I now hear that sir Charles would like his second wife to become Queen. Personnel I would like to see him be by passed and it given it straight to Willaim and kate. I do believe he queen will be staying until at least 10 September 2015, (age of 89,) to gain the role longest serving monarchs in eu
-
I don't see why William would make a better king than Charles. Charles has some good values and attributes and has had a long time to prepare. William is little more than a pin up boy at the moment.
-
Sod the Monarchy, I want a Republic!

She's the monarch, not the manager of Manchester United. She'll leave the throne the day she dies!

...but I bet the old girl could give Alex F a run for his money. I can just see her now - sitting on the bench with a big wad between her gums - chewing away!

'One is thinking of using the hairdryer treatment at half time, and then telling the referee one thinks a couple of minutes more injury time is called for'.
-

-
