I didn't watch the film either, but I'm watching the series.  I think it's going to get darker as the series progresses.

I recorded last night's episode as I'm going to watch it over the weekend.  Although, as it's stomach churning, I may watch it sooner!

From what I gather, there was a pretty horrific rape scene that's got everyone's blood boiling.  I'll let you know once I've watched it.

okay, so i saw the offending episode. pretty nasty, but i've seen far worse on far earlier at night, so not sure what the outrage is all about, really.
