Had a ripple last night and I think the taste is good but the texture not so I still prefer flake over ripple.
-
It's hard to decide. I think I prefer Ripple. Don't know why. I prefer the Ripple taste but Flake texture.
-
i like ripples better...flakes are messy!
-

I agree with you Lou.
I find Ripple (like all Galaxy choc) tastes nice but kind of coats the inside of my mouth and so I prefer Flake.
-
Flake if it doesn't matter about getting those little bits down your top...and ripple if I have to be clean.
It is a tough decision. So similar yet so different...
-
I like the flakiness
-
I'm not too keen on the dry Flake taste to be honest. I dunno how they make it that way

-
The texture of flake is a it's main strength and the cadbury taste and the way it lines your mouth is wonderful. Ripple is OK but a good two points behind.
-

You are right again. I would say why rather than how.
Ripple is king.
-
Whereas flake is just, you know, what's her name...
-
His kept woman, that's the one.
-
flake is ace, rippleis too much
-
Too much, what?
Decent taste?
-
No ..too much thingy.
-
Too much creamy chocolate.
-
hmm...i think im on the flakes' side as well.
-
can i be controversial and bring a twirl into the equation?!?!?!
-
Just like a flake dipped really.....
Spiral is something else
-
oooooh!!! spiral!!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........
-
I like to dunk a Twirl in my hot chocolate. It doesn't work well with Ripple.
-
Flake Dipped was such a pointless invention - it's the same as a Twirl to all intents and purposes, and somehow not as nice.
-
Think flake appeals to more people?
-
Maybe - or maybe Cadbury thought they'd make some extra cash by launching something 'new' without doing any extra work...
-
But doesnt it make it less messy? I think thats the intent of it.
-
Thats also a vaild point. Comparing a Twirl and a Flake Dipped...would you get more chocolate with the Twirl?
-
I would say so myself but I'm not sure.
-
Funnily enough they had both Flake Dipped and Twirl as part of a five for £1 deal in Latifs yesterday, so I thought I'd try a Dipped to see if I was doing it a disservice. Then it occured to me I was paying the same price for one finger of flake as I was for two of Twirl.
-
I think the Flake Dipped is longer and a little thicker, but all in all I think there is more chocolate with the Twirl?
-
Also with a Twirl, I can eat one bar and save the other for later.
In fact yesterday, I saved it for a whole two minutes later
-
That is very well done smuftboy! Double the pleasure.
-
Glad to see you've been taking my advice then Smurfboy!
-
I like Twirls as much as I like Flakes..A million times more than a Ripple.
