to rival the 'your fave piece of music' thread, i thought i'd create the complete opposite. so here it is - the place to post all those tunes/videos you just never want to hear/see again. i'll start with an obvious choice.
The Streets - Dry your eyes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHOf3s70w-c#lq-lq2-hq)
easily the worst 'group' around today.
-
Oh dear! I really like that song!
-
This is one of my all-time absolutely loathed songs. Everything about it is revolting - the singing, the dancing, the lot.
September - Earth, Wind & Fire (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iknEJf9cPeY#lq-lq2-hq)

The Streets - Dry your eyes
I haven't got the energy to adequately sum up this guys lack of tallent. My Ex calls him a "total nob end" and I agree. If you paid special attention to his lyrics, you would be thinking the same.
You can throw all coreographed "boy" and "girl" band crap for a start...
-
Anything Stock, Aitken and Waterman.
-
That bloody song which has the lyrics, "Loving you" with that Shrill that goes through your head like someone is hacking at your skull with a disc saw.

Black Lace - Agadoo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POv-3yIPSWc&feature=related#lq-lq2-hq)
No one has mentioned this pap!!!!
-
Ice Cube - Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It (Official Video) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzeZhCt5PVA#lq-lq2-hq)
This isn't even music.
-
I love the Minnie Ripperton song too. It's beautiful.

I think the lyrics are great. To me, it's poetry with an appealing simplicity and honesty.

John Miles - Music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnO3LwkANXw#lq2-hq)
-
Any Peter Andre song.
-
yeah - all one of peter andre's hits...
-
You can throw in line dancing rubbish as well and all that stuff like Venga Boys pap. I would rather listen to repeats of the Tony Blackburn show until I bleed from my ears.
Infact, you can throw Tony in too.
-
Doop - Doop (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvLDm8821jQ#lq-lq2-hq)
anyone remember this tat? it actaully got to number one fifteen years ago. WHO BOUGHT THIS CRAP?!

What do you call 'line dancing rubbish'. At the moment we're dancing to Lady Gaga, Lily Allen and the Killers, amongst others. If you're talking Country & Western, I totally agree.

Steps - 5,6,7,8 "Music Video" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJbj8LfcpO4&feature=related#lq-lq2-hq)
Pish like this, basically.
-
That was a good programme on tv last night showing how Claire from Steps went really fat then lost it again.
-
This must be at the top of my all time detested records. There are only three words to sxpress how much I detest it. HATE! HATE! HATE!
I'm sure that at one point in this track the lyrics say "The chair is not my son".
michael jackson - billie jean (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-blEgMyJwU&feature=related#lq-hq)
-
I don't like any MJ songs. Bin them all.
-
Blur - Girls and Boys (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATWnH-yb6-o#lq-lq2-hq)
all these years later and this song still makes me nauseous.
-
Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_bvT-DGcWw#lq-lq2-hq)
i just KNOW i'm gonna get smited for this... and i apologise. i understand fully this will be an unpopular choice. (but oh well...)
-
Nah, fair enough. Each to their own. It isn't my favourite. Hate the accent on the singing!
You touch High Hopes, however and we'll have trouble.....
-
wjp i hate Pink Floyds Another brick in the wall. It makes me feel depressed.
I applaud you. :)
-
why thankyou!
-
I applaud you also! Pink Floyd changed from an excellent psychedelic outfit to a boring, proggy piece of crap! Never could see the appeal, but that's the way I am.
-
Yay. Sign here for the we don't like Pink Floyd club............................

Oh my God! That's like saying you don't like puppies or kittens or pensioners!
Agreed, Another Brick was not the best track from the album but then again, it's not really an album of tracks at all. It's not as good as Dark Side of the Moon but it's still a fantastic album and it stands head and shoulders above most stuff around at that time.
-
i'm signing twice, just to be sure.
-
Hey! Since when did we start liking pensioners????
-
I'm not signing anywhere to say i like pensioners.
-
Hi all!!!!
Thanks to those really annoying phone ads, I could quite cheerfully live to be 110 never hearing 'If I Ruled the World' again.

Eminem - We Made You [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO NEW APRIL] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfWHBHNP-ys#lq-lq2-hq-vhq)
Fud.
-
Please put "nothing sweet about me" by Gabriella Cilmi in room 101 for me.
-
Everything I Do (I Do It For You) by Bryan Adams please.
Which reminds me of a funny story where a bride apparently wanted this music to walk up the aisle to but asked for the 'Robin Hood theme'. As she walked in, the musicians struck up with 'Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Riding Through the Glen.'
-
I detest that track also Goldencup. I can't understand why it was top of the charts for so long. It's boring, boring stuff.
The Robin Hood theme always makes me laugh to the point of tears! The verse that really sets me off is:
He called the greatest archers to a tavern on the green
They vowed to help the people of the king
They handled all the troubles on the English country scene
And still found plenty of time to sing
It's that last line that does it for me. It's straight out of Monty Python!!
-
Thrilling stuff indeed, just needs the coconuts! I've still got this picture in my head of a bride waiting for her big romantic moment and then having to trot down the aisle to that instead.
-
It's a hilarious scenario isn't it? She must have been so disappointed. And what would the groom have thought?
I bet the waiting congregation just nodded along, smiling politely!
My son knows someone who, went they went to sign the register, had the Crossroads theme playing. Now that's what I call strange. We had 'Jesus' joy of man's desiring'.
-

LOL!
Has anyone put Lily Allen in room 101 yet?
-
Lily Allen - The Fear (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-wGMlSuX_c#ws-lq-lq2-hq-vhq)
consider it done! (can't believe i didn't do it sooner.)
-
Noooooooo! I love 'It's Not Fair'....
-
nooooooo! how could you?!
-
I thought she was quite funny when she called Cheryl Tweedy an ugly bitch and Cheryl called Lily a chick with a dick.
-
There's nothing quite like a bitch fight is there?

Does anyone remember a series called 'Roger Roger'? One of the lead characters died in that and his friend asked for 'The theme from the Bodyguard' at the funeral because it was his and his wife's song. The undertaker misunderstood and played the theme from Minder! :D
'I wanted Whitterney Houston, and you gave me Dennis bloody Waterman!'
-
I used to adore that programme. Every now and then my husband and I say how much we wished Roger Roger was still on. I can still see the episode where a treasured dog on a lead got left behind as its carer went up in a lift still holding on to the lead. It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV.
Incidently Smurfy, I've been dying to ask you what you though of the Norris/Mary development in Corrie. Did you see the episode where she seduced him in the camper? It was so funny - espcially when she was getting very fresh with him and a few minutes later the camera scanned the outside of the camper and it was rocking from side to side. Then we found out what was going on inside - Mary was dancing!
-
What era was Roger Roger?
-
Roger Roger started in around 1998 I think. It ran on and off for about four years, but there were always long gaps between each series. It was written by John Sullivan who wrote Only Fools and Horses.
I nearly wet myself at Mary trying to seduce Norris to the sounds of Sheena Easton. But my favourite episode recently has to be the unveiling of naked Dev. Did you see when Michelle pinched his bum and he thought it was Blanche? Her reply killed me. 'You think it was me? With my arthritis I can barely peel a satsuma!'
-
LOL! I missed the naked Dev one unfortunately. Blanche is brilliant. I wish they'd publish a book of Blanche's one liners in time for Christmas. It would make a killing!
-
In the same episode she invited herself along for a pizza with Peter and Michelle, because she likes the salad bar. She said 'I've a very amusing anecode re: beetroot', but sadly we never got to hear it.
