She is an old looking 47 but a brilliant singer. She gave me goosebumps and I read today Elaine Paige has agreed to duet with her.

I thought she was wonderful. I don't even agree with people who say she is frumpy and unattratvie. I think she is perfect and I hope she achieves her dream and that they leave her just the way she is.

I thought she was brilliant but I do think her appearance needs sorting out.  I'm older than her and sincerely I hope I don't look anything like as old as she does.

That's a horrible thing to say.  She looks a bit dowdy perhaps, but all she really needs is soemone to experiment with the right colours (clothes-wise) to suit her skin tones and shape.  A softer hair cut and a little subtle slap and she'll look fabulous.

Remember, it's people like those in Harley Street who have turned Michael Jackson into a freak because he was (and they allowed him to be) obsessed with his appearance.

For God's sake, someone just bring out the best in what she already has and leave her to be her natural self.

here is another link to Susan Boyle singing Cry me a River. Apparently, it is from a tape made about ten years ago. It's utterly fantastic.

Well I would turn anyone in to a freak if they wanted to pay me lots of money to do so.

I haven't seen the clip, all I see my end is this. (attached)

So I went to look up what you were on about. Then my tourettes kicked in to action. Good job I edited the post is all I can say.

SUSAN Boyle was on the verge of a breakdown last night as war broke out between her family and telly bosses over her future.

Her brother John revealed the singing sensation was “cracking up” as her relatives clashed with Britain’s Got Talent producers over her future
career plans.

Her family are furious that she is being denied the opportunity to cash in on her overnight superstardom in the States.

They believe she could be earning millions of dollars already with a tour of America.

And they have been trying to persuade the ITV show’s chiefs to allow her to go now in case the phenomenal interest in her evaporates.

But the show’s bosses fear such a move would undermine their prime-time Saturday night show. They are insisting she sticks to her contract and keeps her talent under wraps until her next scheduled appearance in five weeks’

@oldspice

Been around this loop before and I am not about to get pulled in to a flame war because someone has commented on my post just because they don't like my post. My comment was nothing more than a stab at said magazines on the "stereo typical" bimbos that they plaster all over those stated publications. (Try saying all that in one breath)

I think we probably all feel the same on this board.  To netbuddy's credit, he was just joining in the fun and was satirising celebrity like the rest of us.  I hope Susan Boyle tells them to stick it, as her voice is good enough.

According to the New York Daily News, the 47-year-old will be interviewed by Oprah via satellite from her home in West Lothian.

The chat will be part of a talent show special titled The World's Got Talent and will air in the US on Monday.

The programme will include a tour of Susan Boyle's home and suspicions are mounting that she may also sing.

I think she's got a great voice, but be honest - if she looked like Katherine Jenkins, would there be this much fuss about her? It's pretty sad that people (and I have to admit, me included) assumed physically unattractive would mean talentless.

I like the boy-girl who sang Nessum Dorma.

I don't think she's that bad looking. She might not look that up-to-date but she's far from ugly. It must hurt her terribly what people are saying about her looks.

The Britain's Got Talent finalist lost her temper in the lobby of the Wembley Plaza Hotel in North London after being "wound up" by journalists.

Police stationed at the hotel intervened in the situation and Boyle, 48, was photographed talking to two officers in the car park following the incident.

A spokesman for Boyle said: "The police were escorting a journalist from the premises who had been winding Susan up.

"Susan and her sister were talking to the police telling them what had happened."

Reports said the church worker from Blackburn, West Lothian, dubbed the Hairy Angel for her unkempt appearance on her show debut, launched a foul-mouthed outburst at the strangers and had to be calmed down by officers.

One onlooker said:"It took her a long time to calm down from whatever upset her. She was breathing heavily and in a terrible rage."

Reports also said the star flew into another rage on Tuesday as show judge Piers Morgan lavished praise on rival singer Shaheen Jafargholi while she watched on TV in the hotel bar.

BGT judge Piers Morgan

She reportedly swore and flicked V signs at the TVbefore storming off, but again her spokesman denied it happened.

"She was in the bar but again these journalists kept coming up to her hassling her for interviews," she said.

"Susan is fine now, and if the press backed off the poor woman she would be even better.

She went off in one, and believe the company had stolen her cat!! thus there had to phone her house so she could speak with her cat!

She should have never been put through to the finals.  I remember on X Factor Simon voicing concerns over Rowettas mental state and saying she would not cope with the pressure of fame so why didn't he do the same for SuBo. I think all SC sees is pound signs and that is why Stavros could not win because there would be no Cd's for SC to cash in on.

Susan Boyle wasn't actually a very good singer.  She was a bit better than OK.  It's just that her appearance is so far removed from the media's ideal, that when she was actually not bad - everyone thought, 'Wow!  Give her big breasts and a pretty face and her voice becomes that of a decent pub singer.  For what it's worth and you Earthlings can take it or leave it - I thought Diversity were by far the best act on the night.

I think she's a wonderful singer. She just hasn't had the benefit of voice training so she goes a bit wobbly when she is nervous. Her voice has an amazing range and power but I think she limits herself to the big show tunes a bit too much.

I wish people would stop going on about her looks. She's far from ugly, it's just that, again, she's not been schooled in grooming and how to wear clothes that are more flattering.

There's always one who will say they predicted the winner. Diversity weren't better than the sax player or Stavros.

I predicted the top three in the right order.  Diversity are something really special.  Yes the sax player is excellent but I know many sax players who are just as good (look in the orchestra pit of any West End show) and don't forget a large proportion of what you heard was on the backing track.

Julian Smith (the sax player) annoyed me a bit, frankly. His 'ever so 'umble guvnor' routine got very dull very quickly. And why did Piers Morgan insist on constantly saying how 'cool' he was? Why, because he wore a beanie hat?
