Very odd this. He denies the attack on the taxi driver - yet he has 'matured since the incident' Moreover, although innocent of the attack, he expresses 'profound regret'.
I think he got off lightly.
-
Very lightly indeed. I bet the taxi driver is not happy.
-
You're right - he isn't:
"The taxi driver attacked by Jade Goody's widower Jack Tweed has said he "got off lightly" with a 12-week jail term because of who he married.
Tweed, 21, from Buckhurst Hill, Essex, was locked up on Tuesday for assaulting Stephen Wilkins following a night out in nearby Epping last May.
Mr Wilkins, 54, told the Daily Mirror: "If he had been Joe Bloggs he would have got what he deserved - it's because of who he is and who he married he got off lightly."
-
the guy's clearly a no good for nothing thug - keep him behind bars.
-
Hang him.
-
string the bugger up and beat him like a pinata!
-
Yeah, sterilize him so he can't spawn more of his kind. Get the pitch forks and flaming torches out, lets have a traditional village vigilante hunt for the guy and nail the ****** to a cross with golf clubs.
Now that will sort him out for sure... ;)
-
Yay i'm all for that.
-
PRISON muggers have forced terrified Jack Tweed to stop wearing his £15,000 Rolex – his last gift from dying wife Jade.
Fellow cons hatched a plot to snatch the watch from his wrist but guards found out.
They warned Tweed, 21, who then had it placed in a prison safe until he is freed from his 12-week sentence for attacking a cabbie. A jail source said: “At first Jack refused to hand over the Rolex because of its sentimental value."

Yes, an old fashioned witch hunt! Burn him, burn him, etc... ;)
-
hmm. wearing a rolex in jail, ay? oh, the intelligence of the man.
-
Anyone else would have been told to take it off the moment they reached the prison.

Flashy, ostentatious and usually pretty thick. No wonder that Rolex reminded him of Jade.
-
He has probably been trying to buy friendships in there so he doesn't get beaten up for being such a twerp.
-
Hmmmm, in cases like this.... I believe that the state needs to reassert its authority.
-
Rolex watches are horrible, ugly, clunky things. Why do people with 'new money' go for them?
-
I think it is to show the world they have money and probably believe it is better taste than wearing a t shirt saying "i'm loaded". Personally I agree with oldspice that rolex watches are ugly.

Status symobol of the nob-end culture that is stupid enough to buy in to it. Like the £60,000 watch, the £60,000 motor and the £1,000,000 mansion. All nob-end status symbols.
I have proved (to myself atleast) that something costing £60,000 does not make it any better than a similar item of significantly lesser value. Like the jerk at the bar of a pub one of my friends used to go to, full of hooray yuppie types and their astons. I had to point out that my rather crappy swatch watch may only cost £14.99 but it is accurate, tells the time and if it breaks... I am not facing a £5,000 repair bill and I am not advertising a valuable item that is liable to get my arm hacked off.
TBH anyone who buys something that is the value of a small house is a "Mammary Gland."
-
If I had the money I would indeed buy a £1,000,000 mansion. Moneys for spending and i like nice things.
-
You don't get much of a mansion for a million.
-
Maybe i'll aim for the 50 million one.
-
What would you put in all the rooms?
-
I'd have a gym, a games room, a cinema, an office, a room for shoes and a room for bags, a clothes room or maybe a few clothes rooms, a music room, a room for my cat and dog. I'd have no problem with lots of rooms. Think of all the guests i could have at parties.
-
I'm looking forward to the house warming!

But, you can't take it with you.

The EX's mum was one for chasing money and buying big ticket items. It has never impressed me, you are who you are and not because of what you have. You know, the person behind the glitz, that is what counts. Take away the money, the toys and access to nice things, what are you left with?
-
money is the root of most evil.
-
Our society would work better without money. Then we'd do things because we wanted to.
-
I do do things because i want to and seeing as you can't take your money with you then you should spend it now and have happiness. No point letting it mount upo in the bank to go to some cat shelter when you pop your clogs.

A boring skint person wearing crap clothes?
-
Money doesn't bring you happiness, that can only come from within.
-
Actually money did buy my auntie happiness. She went into Woolworths about 45 years ago, gave them six shillings and they gave her this:
Ken Dodd - Happiness (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ij08lEdA8hs#lq-lq2-hq)
-
I have been skint and happy. I am a naturally happy person . I do however like money.
-
I like money too, but I only ever buy what I need. I hate status symbol rubbish.
-
Yeah i'm more like that. I wouldn't buy a designer brand just because of the name.
-
Jack Tweed is to celebrate his release from prison this week with a boozy 'relaunch party' at a nightclub in Essex. He has only served 6 weeks of his 12 week sentence.
DISGUSTING
-
What is he relaunching? And what is it he does exactly? I mean, before he married Jade, did he have a job - a trade or profession?
-
He's a celebrity, innit?
-
Apparently he is a model.. a model what we do not know.
