How many here love the chinese chicken curry from the take-away? I like mine with fried rice, prawn crackers and a bag of chips.
How many of you have wished that you could make your own, just like the take-away?
Well now you can...
I just found this in my local supermarket.

It's the fried rice that'll let you down though.
You need that huge wok and a sack of msg.

Mmmmm Chicken Curry.

I dislike take away curry.
-
Take away food is just vile. I prefer home made 100% of the time. My stir fry could blow away anything you can get at a Chinese!
-
Yep, I will be cooking one of them tonight, Chicken and Veg stirfry. Mmmmmm
-
I love curries but not Chinese versions - all wrong somehow.
-
I don't like Chinese food at all. It's either tasteless, or so leaded with salt that you need 5 gallons of water to quench your thirst,
-
Funny that, curry is of Chinese origin.
-
Well my family had beef and mushroom, sweet n sour chicken and chicken in orange sauce with rice and noodles last night.
We seemed to enjoy it as no one complained about it not being made at home.
Incidentally do you know the sauce for orange or lemon chicken is usually one of the diluting juices such as Quosh?
-
I'd rather have a pot noodle.
-
Prefer the real thing, again, noodles are chinese, the local oriental supermarket over the road from me has a massive selection of various noodles from various cultires like Japan, Vietnam, Thailand amongst the various countrys catered for.
I like the "LuckyMe" brand and also "Hao Hao" brand.

Has anyone here been to a sushi restaurant and what did you think?
-
I like Tandoori food and Thai, Burmese etc. Chinese is mushy and greasy. maybe it's different in China
-
It was all good in Hong Kong.
-
You do not need to go to china for a decent chinese meal. Like most takeaway foods, they are mushy, if you went to a proper chinese restaraunt then the food would be completely different, chinese takeaways are like fast food bars like MacDonalds are to burgers and the average chippy...
Sorry to say, my actual experience with thai food is not one that I would want to repeat.
-
The Chinese don't fry any of their own food, it is generally steamed.
-
Food out of a plastic box is a no, it like Mircwave beans YUCK!
-
I'm not a big fan of Thai food, mainly down to their love of all things lemongrass. I won't touch take away rubbish at all these days, not even pizza. If I get a TV dinner that's in a plastic box, I transfer it to a foil container.
-
I'd rather drink my dirty dish water than eat Thai. I refuse to eat any take away food now and i don't even like going out to a restaurant unless i can look at the kitchen.
-
Yep. I don't buy take out food, prefer to cook my own. Talking of which... I need to go get me dinner on the go, I could eat a horse n chips IM that hungry.

You lot have too many neuroses. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
