Title: Should we have elephants in the circus?
Post by: loulou on February 28, 2009, 05:13:31 pm
Three elephants called Sonja, Delhi and Vana Mana have made their debut at the Newark Showground in Nottingham.

I am against elephants at the circus.

And can anyone tell the difference when you lean against them?

As an eho you should sympathise with these elephants. I worry about them being transported about.

Yeah but ask it if it misses its family.

It could always make a trunk call and speak to them.

No, elephants need space. They get very unhappy when there are lots of humans around them. I don't even like to see them in zoos. They never look happy. No one should be able to exploit animals in this way. They'll be bringing back the freak shows next.

I wish reporters would stop putting places like Newark in nottingham, its effing 20 miles away, 30 minute drive, it is in Nottinghamshire, happens to have an NG post code but in reality it is closer to Linclon than Nottingham.

Elephants should be in conservation parks protected from poachers.

No animals should be present for 'entertainment' purposes in any circus.  It's quite easy to have a circus with just humans.

I've never enjoyed circus's. Not too keen on clowns.

You don't watch BB, do you?

Big Brother? Nah. Who wants to know that "Bonzo is in the rest area changing his socks. Meanwhile, Betty lets Libby know how she feels about Johnny eating the last orange in the fruit bowl".

However, I have been known to look in on Jeremy Kyle (on a Friday afternoon when I'm cleaning my living room I switch on to ITV2 now and then).  It's horrific. It's so bad you just have to keep watching - like picking a scab. It's a REAL freak show. Are there really that many jobless, alcoholic-and-drug-addicted baby machines out there?? Surely it's all made up?

I know loads of people who admit to that Kyle show.
You should all go on it.
It would be cathartic.

Yes, there are.  I live in the dark depths of Bristol and you don't have to go far before you meet up with freakish entities, I can tell you.
