Title: Cafe launches melt-in-the-cup drink
Post by: paulham on December 19, 2008, 02:23:24 pm
The Chocolate Cafe in Ramsbottom, Lancashire has launched an innovative way to enjoy a cup of drinking chocolate.

Its new melt-in-the-cup drink is a novelty way for customers to create their own beverage while tasting some exotic flavours.

The solid Zotter drinking chocolate bar demands a three minute at-the-table melting and whisking ritual, to maximise flavour.

Customers are supplied with a glass of hot milk into which they place the Zotter drinking chocolate bar. Once the bar has melted the customer can then whisk the drink to develop the intense chocolate flavour.

The 20g bar is made from organic and fair-trade ingredients and is available in ten flavours which stimulate the palate, including peppermint, rum, chilli and honey-cinnamon.

The bar is also available in packs of five for £5.95 so the indulgent drink can be enjoyed at home.

Paul Morris, The Chocolate Café owner, said: "The Zotter drinking chocolate bars have been a huge success. I think the novelty value of the whisk and the sensory experience of watching the chocolate melt has made having a hot chocolate more of an event for customers."

The Zotter drinking chocolate costs £2.95 to drink in at The Chocolate Cafe.

I love the fact that the ingredients are fairtrade - that's important to me these days. Expensive - but why not have an occasional treat?

Sounds a bit lush to me, to steal one of my sisters phrases.
