Title: Credit Munch
Post by: paulham on August 24, 2008, 05:06:53 pm
I hate the phrase "credit crunch", f***ing soundbite society.
Anyhoo, Has anyone noticed that most supermarkets seem to be selling  CDM 230g bars more or less permanently for £1?
At least most bars have stabilised in price, though I noticed 623's post about impending price rises or bar shrinking.
I cannot see the manufacturers uping prices too much as people will just stop buying what is essentially a luxury (not to me, you understand).
Here is a challenge:
Who can find the biggest reduction on a popular bar/brand of chocolate?

Ok............................
I'll start.
I got a Lindt Lindor bar from Somerfield that was reduced to clear (with 2 months BB date still to run) for 49p.

I saw Aero have started printing a £1 price tag on their big bars - but then I looked closely and discovered their 'big' bars are only 125g! What a swizz!
