I recently offered to do the driving when a friend and I were visiting Yorkshire and she said she'd bring along nibbles for the journey. When we stopped, she triumphantly produced from her bag:
1) Peanut butter cookies
2) Cinnamon danishes
Now regulars on this board will know that there are probably only two flavours I really don't like and she managed to find both of them! As I hadn't known her long, my natural good manners(!) meant I had to smile sweetly and force them down. Next time I will be more assertive!

I would have brought cheese and pickle sandwiches, crunchies, flakes and crisps. Would that be any good?

GC, here is a website for one of the afflictions you suffer:

that was very nice of you, you could have said not now, I'm driving!
-
Or you could have said "Get out of the car, go the shop and buy me something nice."
-
I would have brought a Kit Kat, prawn cocktail flavour crisps and a big bottle of coke.
-
Just the one kitkat?

Perfect - next time, you're coming with me!

I would have thought driving from Boscombe to Yorkshire was torture enough, regardless of snacks!

Nah, it was fine - don't even need to go through any towns/cities - all motorways and dual carriageways.
-
I would also bring boiled sweets.
-
And something to drink please.
-
Ginger beer is my fave at the moment but I'd also bring ribena.
-
I see you more as a Vimto lass.
Newkie Broon, perhaps?
