The 26-year-old has promised to "put beauty back into politics" by standing for election representing the Beauties For Britain party.
Miss Great Britain hopes to come to power by winning a by-election in the newly vacant constituency of Crewe and Nantwich.
The seat became empty following the death of much-loved Labour stalwart Gwyneth Dunwoody last month.

Policies not p*****s.
-
I bet she'll lose her deposit.
-
Bounty will too if he sees her.
-
Good luck to her.
She couldn't do any worse than the ineffectual lot we've got now, and lets face it even if she's no better then they are at politics, she's a lot better to look at while she's being just as useless.
-
Yes, but those of us with ravaged faces, lacking in the social graces desperately remain at home, inventing lovers on the phone.... (Janis Ian - Seventeen).
Seriously, what use will a party devoted to image and beauty be to people who need decent housing, a new health centre and somewhere for the kids to hang out?
There is too much attnetion paid to looks and not enough to what really counts - how to get through this life and reamin sane.
-
Yes and those parties could also concentrate on better education such as the basics of spelling.
-
I don't like beauty contests. They are always full of airheads who can only ever say they want world peace and to swim with dolphins.
-
I don't have any party political leanings, so I might vote for her at the next erection.
-
Sorry, election. Well, somebody had to do it.
-
'Put the beauty back in politics'?

Was it ever there in the first place?
-

Oh! He was a bit of a dandy!
-
Perhaps making sure she looks nice and ensuring she is well groomed before she goes anywhere IS her way of remaining sane.
You don't know she has no mental competence just because she doesn't look like she's been run over by a bus!
She might just be able to do the job!
And not all beauty contestants are airheads. You can't generalise like that. It's not fair and it's not true.
-
She is an old looking 26. Show me a beauty contestant with a brain. There's a challenge.
-
I never watch the sexist trash. I don't see a Mr GB competition being aired, ever. This sort of thing should have stayed in the last century and even then it was degrading.
So, no, I wouldn't vote, even if she is flashing her brain about as if it's something special.

Yes, but may, the fact that she is standing for the 'Beauties for Britain' party gives people the impression she is not interested in ugly people. As an ugly person that bothers me.
-
Hey! I'd vote for you, Oldspice.
