I did, it was a traditional Yule log.

To all the regulars, stay sane and enjoy Christmas.

I got 25 worth of chocs from Chocolate Utopia, a book about rare birds, a new computer table, some Fox's biscuits, a birdwatcher's logbook, some socks, two pillar cases, a memory foam pillow to go in pillow cases.  I must have my relatives well trained, as I've had no cheap/high street chocs.

I got a beautiful strand of Chocolate Pearls, a cosy, cherry red jumper, a new cover for my motorbike, (my mum always buys practical presents), a surprise engagement ring, and a box of chocolates.

I hope everyone had a lovely day. Mine was smashing. Big%20smile

I haven't opened my presents yet as my daughter is working and won't come home until today (Boxing Day) so we will all have a slap up dinner and presents afterwards.

MayRae your Christmas sounds perfect!  What motorbike have you got?  I used to be a keen motorcyclist.

Has anyone tried Terry's choc orange cosmic toffee crunch?
Marble was NOT happy when she discovered it still has orange in it unlike the mint one.

Hope you are all having a good Christmas.

Pillar cases????

A bit too much cherry brandy!  I meant 'pillow', although pillar and pillow are pronounced the same in Nottingham.

Yes I bought my son one and pinched a couple of segments - we liked it.

Hi Goldencup.

My Christmas was wonderful. It's always been my favourite holiday, and I always do seem to have a great time, but this year was just extra special. Big%20smile

My bike is a Kawasaki Z250. Pretty old and not really very elegant, but I love her. LOL

What did you ride, and do you miss it? You must, I bet.  I love bikes, I can't imagine being without one.

I had various bikes, including the old classic the Honda 400/4.  My favourite was a metallic blue Honda CM200T which was rebored into a 250, with chopper handlebars and a stepped seat!  As I'm only 5'2" tall, I had trouble finding larger bikes that I could touch the ground on.  I used to train motorcyclists, still have my Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists' badge and yes, I still miss it.Cry

My husband has an Honda XJ900.  We used to bike everywhere in our younger days.

I like the look of the 400/4, but they weigh a ton. Far too heavy for me.

Although I'm 5ft 7" I am only slightly built (weigh in about 8st 8lbs) and I'm a bit of a weakling too. LOL

My bike isn't exactly light, but she's managable and she goes like a dream.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you give up riding goldencup?

I crashed my beloved CM200 (not my fault and the other driver was prosecuted) and while it was being repaired somebody else saw it and fell in love with it so I sold it to them.  While I was considering what bike to replace it with I fell pregnant (well not literally!) and other things took priority.  I just never got round to buying a bike again but who knows - there's still time.....I often dream about it!

Aww life will do that to you.

I'm glad you weren't hurt, and it must have been true love you saw in the other person, to give up your bike for them.

But you're right, there is still time. I don't know how old you are, and of course because you're a lady I would never ask. Wink But bikes are something you never grow out of, and I think I'll need to be really really old before I admit that I am too old to ride safely anymore, and finally hang up my skid lid.

It will be a very sad day for me, but I'm a person who is honest with herself, and as much as I will hate it, I'll quit when I have to in order to be safe. But thankfully that day is a little way away for me yet. And so......Vroom vroom until then.  LOL
I hope you're able to get back onto two wheels very soon goldencup. Until then I'll say a vroom for you too...Big%20smile

Well I have way to go before I look like that Paulham!
But I have a feeling that eventually I may look something very like that indeed. LOL

Your bike looks lovely goldencup. It's an unusual colour.

Mine is without a number plate at the moment. (It had a slight skirmish with an arrow over Christmas and the plate is now in 4 pieces.) So I have to pick up a new one tomorrow or I am grounded until the 4th January and my next available lift into town.

I can't be stranded for that long. Cry

I'm so lost without it, it's ridiculous.
