Title: Lost Christmas post
Post by: loulou on December 08, 2007, 05:38:21 pm
Thousands of Christmas letters lay undelivered in a Royal Mail depot for a year, it has emerged.

About 4,000 items were found in an area of the Aberdeen Mail Centre that has not been used since last Christmas, following a relocation of equipment.

A Royal Mail spokesperson said: "We would like to offer our sincere apologies to our customers."

The mail will now be delivered.

How many people will receive cards from people that are now dead?

How awful. That would be very upsetting.

Yes, but to relocate their equipment and still not notice 4000 items of mail is quite incredible I think.
Unless they're very small items.
