Title: Cadbury Dream?
Post by: smurfboy on October 05, 2007, 12:29:57 am
I asked about this on the same e-mail as the Spira, but it was ignored. I can't think when I last saw one, so I'm wondering if it's been discontinued - however, it's still in Miniature Heroes.

I can't even remember what Dream is. Is it that revolting white chocolate?

Is it me or did white chocolate taste better years ago? As a kid, I quite enjoed a bit of Milky Bar but now it's totally rank. It's too sweet, grainy and fatty-tasting. Much the same can be said of Caramac, which used to be delicious.

I hesitate to agree with you Oldspice so that we're both labelled Grumpy Old Women (as if!) but I honestly think you're right.  I think there is evidence that they've actually changed the recipes a lot over the years and although some of the chocolate might be marginally more healthy, it doesn't taste half so good!  Having said that, there are plenty of new delicious bars to replace them.

I know I'm in a minority but I prefer Dream to Milkybar.

LOL  My son bought me a 'Grumpy Old Women' book for my birthday!  There is a sort of pride in our office anbout reaching that stage in life. We all sit there moaning about bad manners, missed chocolate bars, products we haven't seen for thirty years and how difficult it is to get tights on when your hips are arthritic! It's hilarious really, when we catch ourselves doing it.

LOL  Well that's true. Only this week, poor old Roger, the only male, came through the door at 8.15am carrying a large box and announced he 'had plans for SEPs all day'. Now SEPs are the mad kids on the Schools' Engagement Programme which involves the schools dumping their worst behaved students aged 14-16 on us for two days a week to work with mainly male, and older female specialised teachers who are supposed to replace the poor role models they have at home.

Anyway, what I heard was 'I've got plans for having sex all day' at which point I bodly asked him which of us was the lucky lady.

The fall-out was immediate, noisy and once again involved a mad dash for the ladies (it's the stress incontinence, you understand).

Stress incontinence isn't to be sneezed at.

Well I emailed Cadbury again asking why they had ignored my second question, and I actually got a reply - Dream is NOT discontinued. Then as if by magic I saw both the small and large bars in Select and Save!

I read that and thought, was Paul Daniels behind the counter serving?
Or am I thinking of Mr Benn?
