Title: Chocolate in Holland
Post by: on October 02, 2007, 02:27:39 pm
I've just come back from a week in Holland. The Mars bars have the texture of Mars Midnight and the chocolate is darker - as I'm sure I've said before.

The local choc is by Albert Heijn. The milk choc is 30% minimum and the plain 54% minimum. Good quality too.  At 1.25 Euros for a 500g bar you can't complain.  But then everything in Holland is cheaper than the UK. The best deal I got was a 12" pizza and a beer for 6 Euros and one plave did a coffee and a big portion of Tiramisu for 3 Euros!!! It was the real MaCoy too

No, I went birdwatching.  What I did notice was lots of different sorts of licquorice sweets called drops.  Apparently Honing drops (honey drops) are one of the best.
