Title: Nestle Labelling
Post by: chocadmin on February 10, 2005, 03:55:09 pm

What do we make of this? http://www.itnews.it/risorse/EuroNews,Zj0xMTcyMzU3

Looks like Nestle are going labelling mad, putting calories and
recommended servings data etc. on a lot of their products. Anybody
think it'll stop them eating a few too many kitkats?

EDIT: Try this link instead - http://www.mysan.de/international/article38656.html

I like kitkats, would eat them if they had rat poison in them.

I like to know how many calories I'm eating, and I'd like companies to list 'calories from fat' as standard, like they do in America. It wouldn't stop me eating choc though - I'd just feel more guilty!

I do think all things need to be labelled with calories, fat, saturated fat etc. Some people do Weight Watchers and calorie controlled diets so info like that is important.

weight watchers is good though, there are loads of cheap point foods.

And it incourages you to eat a well balanced diet and nothing is banned.

As Ms Dawes says: "Dust … it’s actually very low in fat so you can eat as much dust as you like"
