It has been pretty quiet chocolate-wise for a wee while, so I thought I would look at the chocolate bar page and I noticed the bars I had in my top ten. These have obviously been voted for over a period of time.

I miss those Aere bars. Nowhere to be seen now.

I'd forgotten about those Aere bars - the ones I tried were gorgeous. They used to sell them in my local Somerfield but alas no longer.

Anyone gonna go to Switzerland to buy some?, Could have sworn there was still some Swiss Delice in Waitrose - although Lindt has taken over so much now.

I've got the creation brownies from Swiss Delice rather than the aere. Really hoped they'd compete with Lindt, but I guess they've kinda given up.

I think I saw some of these in Manchester and Liverpool but did not go in. Are they like Wilkinsons?

They don't do any DIY stuff (well, not on the scale of Wilkinsons) - it's more like Poundland, but with more home stuff (cushions, quilts, kitchen stuff etc.)

GC - I have also seen Swiss Delice in the 99p Shop if you have them in the tropical South? Wink

Oooh yes we certainly have a 99p Shop and unfortunately I walked past it about half an hour ago! I'll look next time - thanks. It's not the tropical south today - wet, grey and dreary.

"Sorry, we do not supply Swiss Delice products to the UK supermarkets and independent traders anymore. However, the producers of the Swiss Delice products do supply the supermarkets as follows:

Tesco

Tesco Finest 100g flat bars (not organic), Tesco Finest Swiss Boxed chocolates 210g and Tesco Finest Miniatures 180g (similar to small tablets)

Marks & Spencers

All Swiss Chocolates (not organic).

Surely if you like Swiss Delice that much it's worth trying the Tesco and Marks stuff?

I have previously, Smurfy, without realising that it was Swiss Delice manufactured.
The trouble is that the Lait Aere and Noir has not been replicated in those brands to my knowledge.
The Tesco and M&S ones are nice without ever coming close to the ones above.

It's a pity, Swiss Delice is nice choc. I were you I'd keep an eye on the cheap shops; they often have imported stuff.
