Title: A pint of milk a day
Post by: loulou on July 14, 2007, 06:34:36 pm
Drinking a pint of milk a day may protect men against diabetes and heart disease, say UK researchers. But wouldnt this make you gain weight?

What would you rather be; a little plumper, or a thin diabetic with a weak heart?

I do drink quite a bit of milk a day so when you think a bowl of cereal then tea or coffee through the day can easy take up 1 pint.

I read recently that they've now discovered skimmed milk is very bad for the skin as the body can't process it properly or something.

I never drink skimmed milk. It's just coloured water.

I like full cream milk on my cereal. I don't have a milkman cos round here it would be pinched off the doorstep before I could get to it so I buy milk in those plastic bottles. When I go to my mams I think her milk from the milkman in its glass bottle tastes so much nicer.

Has anyone had those flavoured straws that you suck your milk through?

No, I'd rather add a twist of Crusha. I used skimmed milk for everything. I started using skimmed milk about 14 years ago but kept the children on full cream. In reality, it would have been better if I had stuck to full cream milk and ate less chocolate becuase now I am overweight but have lost a lot of bone density.
