Title: Long Lost Sponge Toffee Bar
Post by: janetofparis on July 10, 2007, 10:20:35 pm
Hi All

I sure hope somebody can help me out here.

Everybody in my office is trying to figure out the name of a chocolate bar

that we use to eat as kids

In the middle there was about 1/2 - 1 inch piece of sponge toffee and then it was simply covered with milk chocolate

Some are saying it's Crispy crunch ....but it's not

I use to buy these back in the late sixties - early seventies

Anybody have any cles ????  Much appreciated

Janet

Was this in the UK?  Not sure what you mean by sponge toffee.  The Golden Cup was toffee covered in milk chocolate but the toffee was fairly liquid.

There was a sponge filled chocolate bar called Yes and they came in various flavours (one with sponge and jam for instance). There certainly could have been a toffee and sponge variety. i thought it was later than the late 60s/early 70s though.

Was it a round shape or bar shape?
