Many of the artists taking part will FLY to their concert destinations, taking with them PLANE LOADS of equipment. Others will DRIVE in cars accompanied by BIG LORRIES full of their equipment. Additionally, people attending the concerts will most probably DRIVE to the venues of take some form of transport. Then there is the electricity that will be used to power the broadcasting and sound equipment.
Further more, many of the artists taking part REGULARLY FLY to various parts of the world to perform concerts, promote their concerts or promote their lastest CD or autobiography. Also, many of them have SEVERAL HOMES.
My last thought is - can't we raise awarness of anything these days - poverty, global warming or the incarceration of prisoners - without having a bloody pop concert? What ever happened to serious debate and a good old march?
