A man in his eighties who killed his wife has been released from jail on the grounds of diminished responsibility (mental instability). He claims his wife begged for help because of the pain from her severe arthritis - so he hit her with a rolling pin, slashed her wrists and then stabbed her through the heart.
Call me old fashioned, but whatever happened to a cuppa and an Ibuprofen?
Perhaps they were all out of Ibuprofen?
I think if he felt he had to do this then there were kinder, gentler ways to carry it out. As Loulou suggests in her post.
I also ask myself how anyone could do such awful things to another person if they actually loved them as much as he claims he loved his wife.
Life can be very cruel can't it?
