Title: A Lovely Tribute Gone Wrong
Post by: wjp666 on May 18, 2007, 04:05:19 pm

i stumbled across this pic recently and just had to share.

what a lovely way to pay homage to your young dead wife...

and how sad it is that some tattoo artist inadvertently turned her into some kind of hideous monster! this guy's now stuck with this horrific image on his arm forever. (i think it's the teeth and the nose that really make her look like a zombie.)

He should have it tattooed over.

Aww that is such a sad tribute to a lovely looking woman.
I bet she haunts him now(I would, I'd be kicking him up the butt for an eternity) for doing something so daft.

As for the tattoo artist, and I am using the word artist extremely loosly here. I think I would be wanting to do something permanently scarring to bits of him too.

Atleast when the man gets to about 70 people will think it is a recent tattoo.

The only thing that tattoo 'artist' should be drawing is his pension.

You have to remember that these guys are normally used to tatooing images of eagles and dragons etc.  It must be quite difficult to replicate a human face with any accuracy on someone's arm.  I guess Jan Van Eycke might have managed it but....

I don't blame the tatooist but the poor bloke for a tacky way of of honouring his late wife.

Perhaps the guy should have chosen an easier photo to replicate

When the tattooist drew the outline on the arm didn't the man check in the mirror to see if it was right before the tattooing started. Serves the man right.

It's true what Bounty says though - they usually do fairly simple outlines, often tracing them.  Doing somebody's face from a photo is completely different but he shouldn't even have attempted it.

He could always amputate his arm.
