Title: Anyone in Wallingford?
Post by: loulou on May 12, 2007, 12:06:53 am
An Oxfordshire town has been named as the most Potter-mad place in the UK.

Wallingford tops the list for pre-orders of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, according to Amazon.

The films are good but the books are better - much more humour in them.

i started reading Goblet Of Fire simply because one of the kids bought it home, and it lead me to to believe this: Harry Potter is some of the most overrated crap i have ever read. (and the films aren't much better either.)

honestly: a kids film that lasts nearly 3 hours... what genius came up with that? (obviously someone who's never taken a brat to the cinema for a standard 90 minute flick.)

want some fantasy? read some Tolkien or Pratchett.

I've never read Harry Potter or seen the movies either.
They just don't interest me at all.

When I was a kid, one of my favourite books was The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.  i still like to read it periodically.

I love that film too, especially on the big screen.  They really did it well.
