Hello,
We are doing a quiz in work and are stuck on a few answers, can anyone here help?
Here are some we know:
6POASF - 6 percent of Africans speak French
8TOAO - 8 tentacles of an Octapus
8FIAM - 8 furlongs in a mile
The ones we are stuck on are:
3GOTLWF
240V = PDOTNG (I know it's 240v)
5LA2F - WJFT5000
4PITROI
Thanks in advance for any contributions!
-
jesus - these are way too hard for me!
-
4PITROI
4 people is terrorists republic of ireland?
-
5LA2F - WJFT5000
5 loaves and 2 fishes - what jesus fed the five thousand.
-
4PITROI
4 provinces in the Republic of Ireland.
Leinster - Munster - Connacht and Ulster.
I love Wikipedia.

-
240V = PDOTNG
240V - power drain on the national grid.
Say thanks to my b/f for that one.

-
And possibly.
3GOTLWF
3 graces on the Liverpool water front.
- The Pier Head, Liverpool, which contains three historical buildings known, since 2001/2002, as "The Three Graces" (Royal Liver Building (1908-11) by Walter Aubrey Thomas, the Cunard Building (1914-16) by Willinck & Thicknesse with Arthur J. Davis and the former offices of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board (1903-07) by Briggs & Wolstenholme with Hobbs & Thornely.)
I could be wrong about this one though.
I LOVE doing things like this, they're really popular at uni right now.
Did I say that I love Wikipedia? I think I did didn't I?

-
jesus! i'm impressed!
-
Thanks.

I guess I just have that type of brain?
But never ask me where I left my handbag or keys will you?

-
Oh grief I just realised I didn't leave any for anyone else to have a go at.
I was having such a good time.

I am really, really sorry people.

i had ALL those answers but you didnt give me time to reply. (honest)
-
I believe you, so you can shoot me wjp.

I deserve it.
I was just sort of taken over by some kind of demon and it made me do it. (honest)
I really do feel bad though, does anyone else like doing things like this?
Please say no. OK?

-
to be fair, you waited 6 hours before you posted... so everyone would have had a chance.
-
I LOVE doing things like this, but to be honest if I'd seen it in time I'd probably have at least tried to do all of them too! goldencup2007-03-20 23:30:21

Aww Thanks goldencup.

-
Thanks Scarlett, well done!
Can't believe I didn't get the Liverpool one, I live there!
-
Well obviously I knew all those answers.
-
240V = PDOTNG (I know it's 240v)
240V - power drain on the national grid.
Apparently, it is not power, but the rest is right! Could it be pressure?
-
I think it could be potential. At school I remember learning Volts were the measure of 'potential difference' whereas isn't it Amps which are the measure of power
?
-
Good answer, I'll try it.
-
That is correct, thanks Cherry!
-
Do you know 6POASF?
-
You said you had that one.
-
I have just been told it is wrong.
