I bought my mam the new Russell Watson cd but was unhappy that the case was badly scratched so the sales girl gave me a spare case so I could change it over myself at home .
Question...
Did she give me the spare case to change it myself cos she was a bone idle bitch who couldn't be bothered to do it for me or did she know full well that I would get home to find the spare case was a different type and no use at all?

I say both
-
I think you asked for a spare case and she gave you a spare case.
-
stop being so cynical. i would interpret that as a kind gesture.
-
I actually asked for a cd without a scratched case. I don't expect to have to chnage it myself and I certainly do not class it as a kind gesture to give me what I pay for. When I pay good money for something I expect decent goods.
-
I agree Lou. But I wouldn't think she gave you the wrong kind on purpose. I hope you've stormed back in there and given them a piece of your mind by now.
-
i guess the message here is don't buy russell watson cd's!
-
I had to go through my collection and eventually find a case that was the same kind.

I think she should have done her job and exchanged the whole lot for one that suited you. Then she should have carried on simply doing her job until you went home satisfied with the service you'd gotten from her. That's what she's paid for.
I work in a shop at the weekends for money for uni and if we behaved like that customers would complain and we'd be fired.
What happened in these big stores to 'the customer is always right'?

I agree with Scarlet. Additionally, the CD case should have been replaced before it went on sale if it was scratchedand cracked. They only cost a few pence and they should have a stock of them to replace ones that get damaged.
The assistant should have taken back the Cd, handed Lou a fresh one, then replaced the DC case and put the CD back on sale. That's the professional thing to do.

Ah, well that's not what you said originally. If I'd asked for another CD I would have expected to get one, of course.
-
I actually asked for a cd without a scratched case.
A perfectly reasonable request especially since it was a gift. Does it have an unusual type of case then? Or was the space one the assistant gave you an unusual type?

The spare one was more oblong.
