What is the point of streaky bacon?

i'm not to keen on it by it's self and over here that's mostly all you get..
it is good for wrapping round chicken strips before cooking or even wrapping round steak..if you cook it to near death it's okay broken up into tiny little pieces and sprinkled over a salad..

Streaky bacon is good for wrapping round scallops or roasting when saddled on a turkey.  I like it less as a fry up, where I prefer nice meaty back bacon.

Too much fat on it for me. YUK.
I prefer back bacon and I love smoked bacon, but I couldn't eat it all the time.
