So Louis Walsh and Kate Thornton have been sacked, there will be 4 judges instead of 3, the age limit will be 14 instead of 16 and the youngest age group will be split into male and female.

 

Are these changes going to make for a better new series?

 

Who do you think should be the new judges and the new presenter?

I really hope the new presenter is not Cat Deeley although rumour has it she is tipped to be the next presenter.

I thought Cat was staying in America? I reeeeeally hope it's not Claudia.

 

I think getting rid of Louis is the right decision; he asked for more money when he plainly isn't worth it. Simon and Sharon are the stars of the show. I'm surprised they've dropped Kate though.

Bring back Ant and Dec! Didn't they present pop idol? I heard Chris Moyles could be on the panel. He was being very evasive on his show today. If Claudia presents i'm not watching. Someone should tell her to sort her hair out too!

I think someone very remote from celebrity and the music world should front the show. I think it would make it more interesting to have an honest and intelligent person out front - someone like Clare Short, Louis Theroux or Tony Benn.

 

The worst presenter situation I could imagine would be The Hamiltons.

Apparently they didn't want to do X-Factor as it would tie them down too much. As there are now going to be four judges, I could see them having a different celeb judge each week, as they do on American Idol.

 

Who knew that Claudia Winkleman is Eve Pollard's daughter?
