i started in the first week of Jan, and so far i've lost 17 lbs. which aint too bad.
i had food poisoning once and YES, it does work! i lost 2 and a half stone and looked terribly thin.
my main problem is an addiction to coke, dr. pepper and lucozade. by cutting these out completely i started to lose it really quick. otherwise, i can only recommend eating healthy and getting some exercise... a daily walk really makes the difference.
weight training and the gym wont work for me either - muscle does weigh more.
12 1/2 stone aint bad... sure you need to even be on a diet?
Thins? Do you mean thighs?

17lbs in that time is fantastic! Well done WJP
Have you watch You are what you eat on CH4
well, it may sound quite good - but i've a bloody long way to go!
It's still a very good start - and 17lbs more than I've lost!
Have you watch You are what you eat on CH4
that should give you seem tips!!!!
If this is true ...... I think I must have eaten a fat person
You're doing a bit too well on your diet wjp - slow down a little! 2 lbs per week is supposed to be the maximum you should lose if you want to keep it off.
(So says she who lost 2 stone last year very slowly and has still managed to put 9 lbs of it back on.....)
I have an intense dislike of Gillian McKeith. I think she is obnoxious and rude. These people come to her for help and I can see that she needs to be tough with them and get some very unpalatable truths across to them about how they live their lives and what it's doing to them, but she doesn't have to be so incredible belittling and personally offensive. I also don't think she has to enjoy treating them like that as much as she appears to.
Back on the subject at hand, I am trying to diet the other way. I weigh 8st 11lbs and I'm 5ft 8 inches tall so I could use a bit more meat on my bones.
Does anyone else feel a bit fed up and slightly worried by the number of programmes that are fronted by people who tell you:
a) how to de-clutter your home
b)how to eat a healthier diet
c) how to look ten years younger
d) how to choose a new home
e) how to clean your home
I think all of these people should mind their own business and let people take responsibility for their own lives and lifestyles.
I can't believe how many TV programmes involve looking in on people's most intimate lives.
I'm more bothered about the government trying to decide what should and shouldn't go into food - why can't we decide what we want to eat?

Yes I do.
It's tiresome having total strangers on the TV trying to tell me how I should live, and getting paid for it too!
It doesn't get them anywhere because I can turn the channel over, (and I do) but they're a pain all the same.

Velvet I am the same height as you but at 85kg I am considerably heavier (it's mainly muscle, of course )

People do decide what they want to eat, that's why there's an obesity problem in this country. A lot of people just don't have self control, hence the nanny state.
Well if they have no self-control that's their fault. They should sort themselves out instead of whining that the government, or McDonalds, or indeed anyone but them, should do something!

I bet you look wonderful Cherry.
I used to weigh about 79kg and I had curves and I loved them.
Nowadays I don't even weigh as much as my 13 year old daughter and the last skirt I bought her from Tesco was too big for me!
She looks great with nothing on.
Oh men are terrible.
