Today I met a 9 year old boy called Benny Hill. How sad is that.

My kids have no idea who Benny Hill is, so I shouldn't have thought many other kids will nowadays either, but I do think the parents deserve a slap for having so little imagination and such a sad sense of humour!

My mother went to school with a girl called Florence Lawrence. If that wasn't bad enough, her cousin was called John Swan! There was obviously madness in that family.

my friend at work is called Snow White..when she started we thought she was kidding with us as she is from Jamaica...we had a new supervisor start a few weeks ago and her first name is Cricket..

I used to work with a woman called Cherry Plum but that was her married surname, she wasn't born with that name.

i used to go to school with a kid called Guillame Guillame.


yes, mr. and mrs. Guillame loved their surname so much, that they used it as a christian name for their son.

I didn't like Benny Hill particularly but I did like the girls on his show.  I also thought Hot Gossip were good. Same era
