Title: Plain chocolate Toffee Crisps
Post by: winnie on February 01, 2007, 07:46:00 am
Remember these from about 30 years ago. They were in a blue wrapper and were lovely, not so sickly as the milk chocolate ones. Id love them to be re introduced

And then there's the coconut Toffee Crisps that also came in a blue wrapper.

I liked the plain Toffee Crisps too - but that was when Rowntrees still made them. I never had a coconut one but I remember them being around. I think I even remember an orange one.

I used to love Plain Chocolate Bar Six. It was called Bar Noir. Oh i do miss Bar Six.

Toffee was more sticky in the good old days surprised I got as many teeth as have What with Toffo's and Toffee Treets and Toffee Crisps.

Soft toffee like the stuff that was in Golden Cup (r.i.p.) is the best! But Callard & Bowser Creamline toffees were gorgeous too.

Yeah it's the softer toffees or runny toffees that I prefer. I don't like toffee that nearly pulls your teeth out.

Toffee like that should have a health warning on it.

Sometimes I think it happens when the toffee has stood too long in the shop. I quite fancy a dime bar now.

Well I left some on the radiator and forgot about them. When I came into the room a bit later there was melted toffee running down the side.

Cadbury's Eclairs aren't before your time.  They still make them!

Sadly, I am old enough to remember toffee buttons. They were not around for long though. As you seem to be about my age, do you remember Opal Toffees?

Don't remember Opal Toffees, just fruits and mints.

Loved Toffee Buttons.

Loved Coconut Toffee Crisps - didn't last long - a limited edition? Very smart white/brown/blue wrapper.

Coconut Boosts disappeared as well, and Cabanas. The only coconut bars now are Bounty and they are TOO coconutty!
